Edna G. Alaniz
Edna G. Alaniz, 80, passed away March 2, 2013. She was born December 17, 1932 in La Bandera, Texas to Pedro and Josefa Gutierrez. She was a devout catholic and was a member of the Catholic Daughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Josefa Gutierrez; her husband, Jesus Alaniz; one son, Mario Alberto Alaniz; and one sister, Estela Gonzalez.
She is survived by two sons, Luis Daniel Alaniz (Martha Jaime) of Spring, Texas, and Jesus (Pam) Alaniz Jr. of Spring, Texas; three daughters, Anna Maria (Duane) Robelia of Spring, Texas, Annabel (Lorenzo) Hernandez of Alice, Texas, and Annette (Arnold) Tijerina of Alice, Texas; two brothers, Eloy Valadez of Alice, Texas and Elizardo (Irma) Gutierrez of Alice, Texas; one sister, Eloisa (Miguel) Rodriguez of Laredo, Texas; 20 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2013, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary being recited at 7 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 7, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Roberson Collins Cemetery.
