CBC open late select dates in August
Coastal Bend College locations in Beeville, Alice, Kingsville, and Pleasanton will remain open until 7 p.m. for evening registration from August 18th-21st.

Library holds summer reading club closing ceremony
These children have successfully completed the Summer Reading Program and were honored at a ceremony Friday night hosted by the City of Alice Alicia Salinas Public Library. They read 20 books over the summer and turned in their reading logs to earn their certificate.

New CBC students get a taste of college life
More than 60 new students, along with guests, attended the annual Cougar Day orientation held at Coastal Bend College - Alice last week. The mandatory orientation, offered at all four CBC campuses prior to the start of the fall semester, provides first-time college students information about enrollment, financial aid, and other parts of the planning process.

"Fizz, Boom, Read!" Arts and Crafts at public libraries in Duval County
"Fizz, Boom, Read!" Summertime Reading Program was held at the Duval County- Public Libraries on Thursday, July 17, event was story time in which several book titles were selected and staff read from each book in order that children and adults attending could listen to samples of different stories and authors writing styles.
